  1. The interesting part is that I think a female re-make could have worked. Had they had a tighter script, better casting, less of an agenda, more respect for the original, taken themselves less seriously and the material more seriously, and if the director could have refrained from declaring war on the fan-base - I can see potential in it. Also I know this is unsayable in current year, but it wouldn't have hurt if the cast were a bit better looking.
