  4. The Israelis have made several very generous offers to the Palestinians for statehood - and they were all rejected because it would have meant accepting Israel's existence. After what happened last Autumn, I can't see Israel being in the mood to make a generous offer any time soon. Nor would such an offer be accepted if it were.

  39. These protests remind me of the start of the "Arab Spring" - lots of optimism about budding democracy, freedom and reform. And then it ends with misery, blood-shed, ethnic cleansing and Europe being flooded with unwelcome migrants.

  41. As a long-time conservative voter - I cannot begin to describe just how betrayed I feel over immigration. They have been promising reductions for 15 years, the pitched Brexit to us on the basis of "take back our border". And instead they have FLOODED the country with immigration, overwhelmingly from the 3rd world. it's destroying out standard of living and they just keep making it worse and worse.
