European nations may have fought against each other for many reasons, but this particular religion has a unique history of permanent aggression against other cultures specifically because they were not them. It is a culture that persists to this day in Israel, in the Maghreb, in Nigeria, in the Sudan, in Pakistan, in central Asia, In Europe - in short everywhere where it touches another culture.

And BTW - "we" had 600 year head start - and even if we hadn't Christianity is just an inherently less aggressive and more welcoming creed: as shown by the fact that it has not needed war to expand.
