Make the lie simple, make the lie big, repeat the lie until it becomes truth. This is the standard formula for Orwellian monsters.

Yeah I noticed that - they so often end up telling on themselves.

Then they would have had to explain why there were black women in the film but no black men (because obviously only white men can ever be shown doing bad things).

I had that same thought - the man in the 80s ad is shown having a professional job, looking smart, exercising, playing with his kids, and being romantic with his wife. How sick, twisted and downright evil does a political movement have to be to consider that "toxic"?
68
All I could think was - "YES! If you want him to write down what you're all saying, in order: it would be helpful if you took turns". But they couldn't put down their toxic feminism even long enough to allow basic common sense to flourish.
56
The fact that the same things are happening to every western country simultaneously - strongly suggests this is being coordinated.
47
That arrogant, smug, entitled, "They were wrong" speech - was just crying out for the Willy Wonka meme were he yells, "You lose! You get nothing! Good day sir!"
30
Almost like it's a social contagion. . . . . . . .
19
I can't remember the exact quote, but C.S. Lewis said something like - "People who assume all friendships are sexual, have never had a friend".
14
Agreed - people are confusing lack of self-awareness with irony.

"a film for women who fetishize r*pe" Quite. It's always worth remembering in discussions about cultural depictions of grape, that it wasn't men who put "50 Shades of Grey" at the top of the best sellers list.

There's probably a not insignificant audience of women who would go and see a gay romance film that was made in a certain style - but "Bros" wasn't made for that crowd. It was made to be an in-joke and ego-stroke for a tiny number of rich, pampered, privileged and utterly debauched middle aged gay men in San Francisco: who were then shocked to discover that they inhabit a tiny part of the universe, that no one else cares about.

19:05 - You got an upvote just for reminding people of that whole episode.
3
The industry that has been black-washing white characters left right and centre - takes an established and popular black hero, and makes him pathetic. Go figure.
3
You know what most of the stunning and brave fat-positivity activists who came along a few years ago are doing these days? Pushing up daisies.
2
It's notable that the only place you can find negative reviews of this kind of woke horror show (despite risible audience numbers) is online from people outside the mainstream corporate media machine.
2
Well - the film had the worst opening weekend of any film that year: so apparently you're not alone in that view.
2
She did a decent job playing a socially awkward Amazon with a good heart - but that doesn't make for a compelling villain.
2
Gillette's campaign wasn't just misandrist, it was also viciously racist. The "bad" men are white, the "good" men are non-white.
1
"Non-binary" is a reliable indicator that the person is a narcissistic a hole.
1
The now familiar pattern - the shill critics fawn all over a woke finger-wagging lecture while audiences turn off in droves.
1
All of woke ideology is the rich and powerful elites claiming that the working class is oppressing them.
1
I've noticed in the last few years an increasingly shrill effort by feminists to convince women that they are happier than they would be without feminism: which is in itself an admission that women are *not happy, or the effort would not need to be made.
1
Christians are very rarely violent - hence they get this kind of abuse in a way that "other" religions don't get.
1
"If their goal was to make people homophobic" That seems to have been the goal of the entire gay movement for at least the last decade.
1
Why is everything in modern culture relentlessly ugly? It has be deliberate because no culture produces only ugly things.
1
This is why woke writers can't create heroes - they literally don't know what heroism is
1
It's truly evil how Hollywood (an industry synonymous with abuse) is trying to deflect its own repellent culture onto the general population: and gaslight us into thinking that a problem in THEIR little cess pit, is really something WE are guilty of.

25:15 - Small clarification: the British didn't call Napoleon "general" on St Helena because they didn't know better: but because they didn't want to acknowledge his claim to be emperor of France, now that the Bourbon kings had been restored. Which validates the broader point that royal titles do indeed supersede military ones.
