I don't believe Trump was directly involved simply because if he were - why would he have kept raising it on the campaign trail? My guess he's realized how deep the rot goes, and got cold feet.

I don't understand why he didn't just say - "The Biden admin destroyed all the evidence" Everyone would have believed that.
