None of these people are really "poor" - they just like the idea of a country where they will be given everything they could ever want for free with no work. It's the same here in Europe. We're taking all the people who don't want to contribute to their own society.

@troyelam8978 Yes you here this line trotted out a lot - but most of America's population increase actually came from the native-born. Immigration has always been a fraught issue.

The Chinese have a huge surplus of young men thanks to the one-child policy - and Biden has presented them with a golden opportunity to send that potentially disruptive surplus elsewhere, and infiltrate their greatest strategic rival the same time. And remember the Chinese play the long game - they think in 100 year cycles, not 2 year mid-term cycles. They know exactly what the long term consequences of this will be, even if the Biden administration pretends not to know.
