@TwilightWolf285 except it is not. It is just a game. You could argue that the lore/story of the game is political, but that could be told about pretty much any story.

The Ministry of Truth keeps the "info fields" clean.

@mery1ak_vfx depends on how you look at it. Both sides did break various agreements. And Ukraine did try to join NATO. The thing is you look at the whole thing like Ukraine = good and Russia = bad. But the reality is both sides are utter guano. And yeah Ukraine is way worse in some aspects, Russia is worse in others.
21
@cubiix1302 yeah, that is the problem. NYC needs Judge Dredd.
18
@TwilightWolf285 how about you read my comment once again and this timw pay attention.
14
@lucaslod2731 dude there was no Ukraine back then. It was the Soviet Union that made the nukes.
8
@GothPaoki a court that is not recognized by the USA btw. Not to mention that the international court has been a joke for pretty much ever.
7
@Kiloryn exactly. Somebody who is not a fan could enjoy it. But as somebody who is a fan of the books, you cant take it seriously. The first episode alone ruins Gerald even though Henry did a great job.
6
Well supporting terrorists kinda goes against democracy.
6
@aturner488 the only thing I would disagree about is the way France humiliated Germany with the Treaty of Versailles. They knew the germans well enough. They knew that the germans gonna remember that. And that was one of the reasons they got radicalized so easy.

@Lis-sk8zn no it is not bs it is your lack of actual education on that matter. Those regions (for the most part) were part of the Russian Empire. In 1917 there was a revolution and the empire fell apart a lot of regions were trying to become independent until the red army (communists) did not drop by. The same happened to that region. Yeah they were "independent" for like a little over a year or so. Had no own economy or anything similar and lived from the money provided by russian aristocrats who were hiding there. There was no formal ukrainian language at that time. And this "country" that btw. was not recognized by the world was not the size of Ukraine today. Donbas, Crimea, Dnepropetrovsk were not a part of it. Lemberg was still part of Austria-Hungary. And the most funny part, at the start they wanted to be their own state/federation that would be called Ukrainian Federation or something like that. But there was a smaller revolution inside it which brlught forth radical militant nationalists (who were a minority) and those rose to power but managed to "burn" the whole state down so that in almost every city people were peotesting them.
5
@sirsly8674 and that is about 100 to much for this parody of a game.
4
@CadillacBoss30 I mean dont you have affirmative action in USA? Affirmative action is per definition disсrimination.
4
@102ndsmirnov7 it may be no fun for you, but for other people it is fun.
4
@Wintercide and I am not talking about those. And your list of bugs is not an issue only in the case that they get fixed. And while the game is new and one can expect them to push a hotfix in the next few days, it has yet to happen. So right now those are real issues as well. No my list includes major stutters where the fps drops to 1 or 2 for at least 30 secs. And no, my pc is good enough to run Cyberpunk on higher graph settings, so my hardware is not the problem. This will probably get fixed as well, but right now it makes the game almost broken, cause it can happen anytime. The story, until now, feels just like a deus ex machina plot. The world itself while looking open feels like big corridors that are connected to each other. The graphics itself are not on the level of todays games and while the story is way more important when the story is lackluster the underperformance in other areas is just so much more striking. I would put it like this: Stalker 2 is a okay game. It is obviously better than trash like the new Dragon Age but it is yet to be on the same level as Stalker 1. I may very well change my mind after I play it some more. But I dont think it will be a masterpiece/game changer.
4
@pezzathang3456 hmmm have you never heard about trashtalking?
4
@ronnie5329 dude, there was no Ukraine in WW2 or before that. The state of Ukraine was founded after the Soviet Union did fall apart. The Ukrainians you are talking about were russians, ethnic people from Poland and Hungary as well as some other smaller ethnic groups. Todays ukrainians are the children of those groups intermingling.
4
@Tarz2155 because stoning women, killing gays or jews, raping women and similar stuff is not regarded as a crime. Of course you will have low crime rates when you do not count all those cases as a crime.
4
So Israel is not defending itself? What a moronic take.
3
@Luna.0o yeah but sometimes the translation is just plan wrong. Best example was the girl. She said she was 14. They ask her if she was 15 and she while clearly not understanding says yes.
3
@NuRm69 frigging Jeebuz on a cross. People are you actually thinking before you write what you write?
3
@tihonannenkov4114 Well the first 2 games.
2
@Wintercide I am not yet far into the game, but I would say it has it fair share of issues.
2
@cakeforhomura yeah and how old are you? Probably young and you probably grew up under the current trend. In the past ukrainian was the language of the western villages (hillbillies). In the city (except for Lviv) nobody spoke ukrainian. And no it was no social bubble, most schools were teaching exclusivly in russian, university (at least math) was always in russian cause higher math had no ukrainian terminology (dont know if there is now). Just look at the history of Chernobyl, "nobody" there ever spoke ukrainian. To claim otherwise is just absurd.
2
Yeah the vast majority of people is just dumb. That is why not everybody should be able to vote.
1
@lucky4the4turtle the left did leave all the sanity behind way before COVID. I think it was around 2014 or so.
1
@YoDz-117 so you are saying he is a mistakd? Yeah that checks out.
1
@ericb-hk3hf hey they did film Rings of power. They spent 1 whole frigging billion on it. How are people still surprised with amazon being incompetent?
1
@aturner488 I mean yeah of course it hit them hard but actually the way the treaty was presented and set up (the signing of it) was made purely to humiliate the germans.
1
@davidramirezf90 1. Russia never did invade Crimea. I suggest you learn about the situation before you write bs. 2. They did try it before and after.
1
The Jeebus part was quite stupid. Bible is not evidence of anything. And while you I get what he is trying to say, he has it backwards. Nobody needs to disprove any claims. You need to prove the claim. The one who makes the claim has the burden of proof. That is the difference between claims like Earth being a globe and claims like the Earth is flat or that Jesus (the biblical version) existed.
1
@napoleondynamite6993 no they are not. Zelensky just got put in his place.
1
@napoleondynamite6993 the implications are a big deal. They are not.
1
@kod4062 if the story is good (OW has an interesting lore, so lets hope) and good gameplay, I could not care less about the graphics. That is exactly why people love Borderlands. I would rather have a fun/interesting game with bad graphics and not anotzer one of those cod/battlefield clones with great graphics but a shitty story.
1
The problem is, that Hasan dude just outright lied. He was not analyzing but lying about the conflict. That or he is braindead and just consume all the crap from al-jazeera and similar media.
1
@cakeforhomura dude I am from Ukraine and no, no one spoke ukrainian in that region. Hell, pretty much nobody in the eastern half of Ukraine spoke ukrainian until 2014. I am from Dnepropetrovsk, a city with a population of 1,5M, so one of the biggest cities in Ukraine. Evwrybody speaks russian there or at least they did until Maidan.
1
@cakeforhomura dude are you able to read? I litteraly said that in past there was ukraine language in higher education and that it may be different now. At the end of 80s there were no textbooks in ukrainian, cause there were no ukrainian words for a lot of terms in math.
1
@cakeforhomura jeez. 1. I was talking about people rom that area. 2. You do understand that being able to speak in a specific language does not mean that you are using it all the time? So I know eng, german and russian for example. But I would not speak in german to a russian guy or speak russian to a group of people from UK. Even when I talk to my friends who all speak those 3 languages we stll tend to talk in the language that is more native to the majority of us.

1
@Brewnelley because it is not part of design of souls games. It is like if she said that Deadpool movie having no/less dirty jokes or violance would be good for the parents, cause they could take their kids with them to the cinema.
1
If youu do not want to support Israel than USA should stop sending aid to Gaza as well and USA should stop interfering. As soon as USA says do whatever you want Israel can flatten Gaza and the conflict will be over forever. It is easy as that.
1
@MasterDragen hi, yes it is a good book, like pretty much everything Orwell has written. What is your point? And could you please form full sentences?
1
Yeah no. There will be no second Hitler. While Asmon is kinda right about how/why Hitler came to power and how/why people followed him, such a scenario is just not possible today. Not because people became better bit because we have the frigging internet. 100 years ago people were not informed about what happens where. Germans could hide a lot of things but today such a thing is impossible. Also the political scenery is way different. What can and probably will happen that right leaning parties will get more votes and maybe get to power, which on itself is not bad.
1
@tihonannenkov4114 no there was no Ukraine. In 1917 after the revolution they tried to make the Украинская Народная Республика/Ukrainian Peoples Republic. It was not recognized by the world. In 1918 like half a year later it pretty much got taken over by radical nationalists. Ok to be fair they somehow managed to reinstate the "government" a year later. But de facto it stoped existing in1920. And this "country" except for the short period of being controlled by radical nationalists, was not motivated by the nationality. So if you want to argue that even when being very generous a country that existed less than 4 years and actually was not even working properly for the majority of those 4 years (pretty much worked somewhat properly bust over a year) is to be counted as Ukraine existing, well okay. I do not accept that it was a seperate/souvreign country. I agree with the vast majority of other cointries at that time, that it was a "natural state" of a country "reorganizing" after a revolution. Nobody expected that it is gonna survove on its own. And dont get me wrong, I hate the bolsheviks, the October Revolution, communism and the rest of that bs. The revolution was one of the biggest mistakes and tragedies pf the last century. But I am not gonna sit and pretend that there was an independent country of Ukraine. And I am not from Russia. I was born in Ukraine, went to school there but lucky me and my family managed to get of that hole 20+ years ago and now we live in a real european country and not in a dirt cheap parody.
1
What did he call him? A dictator? Well technicly/legaly speaking he is a dictator.
1
@Mat-d6r oh wow, did I hit a nerve?
1
It is weird that people do not like really entertaining vtubers but at the same time they support litteral garbage like hasan.
1
@dragonmaster3207 they are from the standpoint of biology but as soon as they disregard (human) rights of other people they themself lose the privilege of human rights. So yeah in social/legal/moral sense they are not people.
1
@imustconsultwiththeeldergo5906 if she is a journalist it only makes everything way worse. Journalist are littetaly taught to use and how to use the right language and phrasing.
