It is the behaviour that is the most important. And the chunly yoghurt behaves like a muslim, identifies as a cultural muslim (not that such a thing is possible in islam). So he is a muslim in all but the name. You know why he does that? Because religious people are regarded as strange on the political left (which is pretty much the only good thing about the left). So he mimics them to blend in.
