2:40 There are different standards for cabovers to. There does exist full size cab overs. They are not quite as large as the full size normal, but they are pretty large. There is a lot the can cram in to behind the chair of the driver when you can use the full width of the truck 3:40 Its 10 hours maximum, with a 9 hours typical. Its EU rules, so that is true for all EU countries. 5:10 "some countries have some exception" Well that is not quite true. In Sweden/Finland the minimum alowed maximum length is 24 meter, period. Its not an exception. This can get as high as 32 meter with exceptions. I´m very bias to the cab over design. Not a truck-driver, but i do design loads for trucks. To my opinion switch over trailers is really the best solution. That use the trailers as a relay race. This also get the cargo to the destination faster. Nobody should be needed to drive to far away from home. A other benefit of the European system is that the deep damage in the road are reduced significantly. Trucks at high speed generate a lot of deep road damage, that is very expensive to repair. This is probobly the main reason why roads in the US are so bad. Of cause, if you still would like to drive fast. there is a solution. A normal 18 wheeler if 8 wheels where added, would reduce the deep damage in the road to about European levels.
