@ceemosp Still the original Lepard 2 does share quite a few subsystems and components with the original Abrams. I would imagine most of those have been replaced in newer versions

@SlavaUkraini2025-n3n i wounder how good the russian artiellry is in general. The precission om making the charge is in micro gram levels. Modern western artilery system like archer can vent a bit in real time to siligtly modify the tryjectory of a shell. But the russian charges and even worse the north korean. They would be happy to even hit in the same field as the target. I guess there shorter range 120 and 130mm artielry is still quite dangerus because the precission needed is way lower. On the other hand, that kind of implies they would be in counter artillery range.

Lepard 1 and lepard 2 is very diffrent tanks. Lepard 1 is sort of a light fast tank, while lepard 2 is more of a MBT. Lepard 2 was codeveloped with the abrams and early version share quite a few components
