Sisu like most of the smaler truck companies buy the major parts from a larger company. Typically they buy engine, gearbox, cab and axel. What they make them self is typically frame, bed, and a few systems. That is basically why the trucks look so randomly diffrent, depending on who they buy the cab from. Its also worth saying that while scania, volvo, mercedes and man make there own engines (that they also sell to other manufacures) the componet to the engines like injectors and other compex part they in turn typically buy from a third party. Even at that, there is very few that make there own engines. This is even more so true for bussss where there is plenty of bus brands but they typically use parts from the main truck manufacutes.

I don't know how often it change, but I seen sisu truck wirh engines from pretty much every major manufactures. So it seams like they swich contracts at time. It's not quite the same but I seen Russian tractors (like tractors for farms) where they just Jerry rigged a Volvo truck cab on the..absolutly absurd.
