Its bad how true that is.
My wall on the new build part of my house have 13mm gypsom, 11mm wood, the 35cm insulation with lumber, then 9mm gyspom, then a airgap of 20mm, then 23mm more wood. In the old build there is a massive 150mm solid wood core in the wall inside of the insulation. It took me 3 hours to get throw that with a chainsaw when i was to cut a new window.
In a typical (granted cheaply build american house) there 11mm gypsom, 95-120mm of insulation and lumber, then they have like tar paper on the out side, or plastic wood imitation pannels.
Granted, for like industrial building, zip pannels are used in both USA and europe. They are really quite sturdy and cheap and fast to build. ITs kind of strange that they are not used for houses.
