There is deserts in pretty much all of the larger countries in Europe, Even in denmark (and.. well yes Greenland, but also at mainland Denmark). Sweden, Denmark, Serbia, bulgaria.. and of cause, most of the southern nations. The desert in Spain is probobly one of the most famous one, but strangly most people don´t know that they seen it many many times. The Spanish desert is where most old western movies was recorded.

There are a number of desserts in europe, most of them are fairly smal. The one in Spain is pretty big. That is where the classic clint eastwood western movies was recorded. YEA.. they was not recorded in the US, but in Spain (mostly, i think some parts may have been recorded in Italy)

@weejackrussell Yupp, that is also why everyone either is dubbed or "Mexican". I was older than i want to admit when i realized that all the "Mexican" people in the old western movie,was just Spanish people. Granted, they do sell it well That makes me think... I never thought about this before. But.. in Spain they use broadgauge railway. So if they used local trains, they should all be broadgauge.. and... yea, i looked it up and yea.. at least in good bad and the ugly, it for sure is broad gauge. Granted, its not unrealistic, considering that part of United states used broadgauged during the time the movie played out.. So .. i guess, you can say it adds extra realism
