"What's wrong with the climate" is that it ALWAYS CHANGES. If it never changed we wouldn't even have a fucking name for it. It would be same ol', same ol'. The problem is that a human lifespan does not allow a proper assessment of what the climate is supposed to look like.
To wit, what we call "climate" is composed of an unknown number of weather/climate cycles, all overlapping. Some last only a very few years. Others are 20 years (just a somewhat random choice, because we don't know yet), 40 years, 75 years, 300 years, 700 years and et cetera and so forth. No person can perceive more than a cycle or two in one lifetime, so it's a total mystery to us mortals.
Furthermore, there are built-in variations to all these cycles, which makes human comprehension of it all nearly impossible, because 11-year solar cycles are fairly variable.
Wise up, arrogant dipshits!!

I lived in northern NM for five years, up until 2011. I've seen weird shit and heard (ears) plenty more. But no skinwalkers. But I talked with the local Taos Pueblo Indians - when they were in a talkative move towards a white man. Usually they speak Tewa to one another on the bus.
But sometimes... sometimes they had interesting tales to tell. I had a couple Bigfoot experiences in the middle of the night where I lived - essentially across the street from the high school. They will tell you the skinwalkers are real, but it's a phenomenon that occurs almost exclusively in Diné (Navajo) lands. And those mostly cling around the western border with Arizona, where Drunkenness is King and Despair is its handmaiden. I am NOT saying skinwalkers are a drunken delusion, although that must happen sometimes. Maybe it scares them sober, I don't know.
"Skinwalker Alley" is along NM 666, which runs north from Gallup to the Four Corners and then (under a different numbering system) into Colorado and Utah. A part of it in NM has been renamed 491.
I appreciate honest skepticism, but if you are a long-haul trucker and you see something 7 feet tall that jumps up out of ditch as you pass that looks like a biped wolf or coyote, and runs alongside your truck at 60, then 65, then 75 mph, gesturing to you to pull over, THAT'S GONNA MAKE A LASTING IMPRESSION.

It's Orang Pendek. I don't give two shits if anyone believe me or not, but I have had Bigfoot experiences in NM, as two members of my family did the same year, in VA. We are not literally talking about "American apes", in my view, but an unknown species (probably the plural version of "species") of proto-humans. There is no fossil record of apes in the New World. Surely one would have been discovered and cataloged by this time. There are monkeys in the New World (South America), but no trace of an ape.
There is convincing evidence that Bigfoots - some groups anyway - in North America possess the capacity for speech, as well as a spoken language, which probably has strong dialectic variants throughout the continent. I heard one speak at close range (30 yards or so) in New Mexico. But it was no human language, nor could any human have said it.
If anyone reading this is curious about evidence, search: "scott nelson samurai talk". He is a former US Navy language expert who has spent many thousands listening to foreign intercepts in Russian and Spanish communications (and I think some Persian too), and transcribed the translations for Naval Intelligence.
By slowing down the recordings (as he did with the above mentioned language intercepts) he has identified repeating Bigfoot phrases and words. He can even repeat them; but no one can yet translate them. Here is the most interesting thing: not only do they converse with one other at well over twice the speed of human speech (indicating to me a VERY quick mind!) but their replies STEP ON the others' spoken language! This is to say, they begin their answer before the speaker is done saying it!
Kind of like your spouse drives you crazy doing!

Yep! The late psychiatrist Thomas Szasz wrote a famous book about this, THE MYTH OF MENTAL ILLNESS". He explains that "mental illness" is, at best, a really bad metaphor. Why a "metaphor"? Because illnesses have a pathology to them, from microorganisms to tumorous growths to chemical and hormonal imbalances. This thing the "Mental Health" Industry wants to imply are "diseases" can't possibly qualify, lacking any and all ways to actually be one. Sure, there are actual organic brain diseases, but they are not "mental" in any possible way.
Instead, Szasz insisted, quite convincingly, that these mental disorders (you know, as in "OUT OF ORDER") are simply artifices that people construct because they have severe problems coping with different kinds of situations, and these artifices are self-constructs to isolate themselves from having to deal with those problems in a world that seems to them to be growing in complexity from day to day.
Most libraries will have it. I urge people to read it and begin to see the world in a new way. Handing over our lives to "health professionals" who don't understand reality any better than we do cannot be the answer.

It was a total sham, courtesy of the CIA, who only know how to fail. Putin and Prigozhin put on a little shadow play, split the $6.2 Billion OBiden diverted to Prigozhin, and Putin ends up stronger than ever, with plenty of funding for his just-beginning re-election campaign (it's in March).
Prigozhin gets free passage to Moscow-friendly Belarus, no charges guaranteed (does THAT seem like something Putin would do?) and the beautiful Minsk sunsets... more egg on the CIA's face, the OBiden WH, and eventually, probably, NATO also.

Yeah, thanks, Ronald. My yard has an abundance of Amanitas this year, and it's not even close to prime season. So I'm drying all the ones I find that slugs and insects haven't messed up. I live in central VA, and the ones here are not red-orange, but orange-yellow. I haven't locked down the species yet.
I'm 69, and I honestly haven't heard of any Mescalin in about 50 years because I don't run in drug circles anymore, if you know what I mean. Same with DMT; last time I found any was 1969, I think... I would not even think of doing LSD anymore. I did it maybe 20 times and don't need to go there again. Even when I was young, I had a tendency to get sick after a trip - sore throats, bronchitis and the like. I don't need that.

Peas are the ultimate short-season crop. They're even grown on the Tibetan Plateau, where the season is so short the only other possible crop is barley, along with a couple strains of very short-season chiles.
Styx is right on the money again. RESEARCH what will do well in your climate zone, and buy individual seed packets that will produce in an even shorter season than what you usually have.
TAKE FAILURE INTO ACCOUNT in your plans. You will still experience some failures, but hopefully not catastrophic ones.
Many years ago I lived across the street from a YMCA, and I started thinking about how defensible it would be (with the help of so-called "like-minded" others). After all, it had an entire pool full of highly-chlorinated water that would be potable for a good while, would be highly suitable for bathing (although away from the pool), and it even had a rooftop where crops could be grown out of the view of roaming human jackals.
The point is, try to take everything into account. You will fail to plan for everything, but hopefully not catastrophically.

There is such a thing as "too much meat", of course. John Wayne's autopsy revealed FORTY POUNDS of undigested meat (undoubtedly mostly steak) in his intestines. I'm sure his diet, if you can call it that, consisted almost entirely of steak, and you can bet it was mostly all he ate.
Common sense should dictate that an almost entirely consists of meat is going to not come close to providing a human body all it needs nutritionally, but humans, being the sort of preference-oriented beings we are, tend to seek and eat only by preference, instead of listening to what their body is asking for. Meat and sugar! You can't tell someone to reduce this kind of life choice; they are listening to something entirely different and more gratifying. Our modern culture gives a green light to this sort of gratification-seeking behavior.
I do eat meat, mostly beef and a little seafood. A few years ago chicken started to become pretty unsavory to me. I just don't eat it now. I eat pork once in a long while, mostly in the form of Carolina Barbecue (yum!) and the occasional pork chop, always with mint jelly. I've always liked vegetables, except loathsome okra, which is like snot to me. Potatoes are my favorite.

I did a study of SHC... to the extent it's possible to study the dozen or more recorded cases. One thing apparent is that there is a sort of profile for SHC victims. ONE, they are women over about 50 years of age. TWO, they live alone. And THREE, they are heavy drinkers.
Several of the victims I studied were NOT particularly fat at all. In fact they were of a pretty average weight. As to ball lightning... you don't have ball lightning, like regular lightning, without a storm. And I am not aware of a single case that happened when there was a storm, in fact, some happened during winter.
If I were to hazard a guess, I think it may be an electromagnetic phenomenon of great rarity, and starts as a malfunction in the body's own electrical network.
Styx, Tibetan monks study a meditation discipline called TUMMO, which is a great heat that can be generated within the body as a way to avoid freezing (there is more to it that just avoiding freezing). The monks go to a mountaintop in the dead of winter, and strip naked. They then put on soaking wet sheets and see who can dry the most soaking sheets with their own tummo heat in a given session. This is absolutely true! I've had the opportunity to study it myself, but did not have the time or money at the time.

I actually think the radiation monitoring theory has some plausibility, save for the distance of some of the mutes from testing areas. I know of a documented mutilation inside the wires of the Virginia work farm for male prisoners on the James River in, as I recall, Goochland County. That's a long way.
It could be for more than one purpose; any well-funded government op (or quasi-governmental op) requires that more than one "itch" be scratched (sorry if that makes you itch - I just did it to myself writing that).
Ed Sanders (of the Fugs) studied the subject from afar (in Woodstock, NY) and published THE MUTE REPORT for several years; I was a subscriber. His theory was that it was a clandestine project to prospect for mineral wealth and such; this doesn't hold water with me, although it once did. Now we have satellites that can do this same work, yet the mutilations continue, though you never read about them.
I very well could be wrong, but I think my theory works best. Anyone with a lick of sense would know it's not "aliens" or "cult activity". It's too sophisticated for cults to be involved, obviously, and the risk/expense vs. payoff doesn't work.
And I don't believe we are being visited by alien civilizations. It's preposterous if you think deeply about it enough! Why haven't they opened their own resorts here if it's so appealing to them?

Styx, the problem is primarily that the rail infrastructure in the eastern U.S. is in really poor condition. In many areas the tracks are deemed unsafe for travel over 35-40 mph. AMTRAK suffers the same problems in the same region. The rail beds need to be redone from the ground up, a project that would take untold billions, perhaps a trillion dollars to achieve. Where is the money going to come from? I think only the federal government can afford to do this level of work, and it would mean doing away with most of the defense budget to do so. Where is the manpower to do it? I say bring all the troops home and put them to work on the eastern railroad infrastructure - but most of them don't want to do that kind of hard manual labor - they're SOLDIERS, after all, and sailors and what have you.
Also, what happens to the vital freight the raid carry - coal, primarily, when much of the raid system is shut down for a total rebuild? WE NEED A NATIONAL CONVERSATION ON THIS SUBJECT, and we need it decades ago!

I've been watching Dorian spin its wheels for the better part of a day over the Bahamas. I've seen this before, and usually a hurricane that does this will, at some point, suddenly make a mad dash up the eastern seaboard, where I live. If Dorian took off this afternoon it could be off Newfoundland in 20 hours' time, if it confirms to that profile.
I live currently in Virginia Beach, and this storm will probably be a Cat 2 when it arrives, if it hugs the coastline, as most models predict. I live about 8 miles inland, and much of the area is marshy land reclaimed with massive landfill operations decades ago. We are 30-odd feet above sea level, but the water table lies just a few feet under our feet. I have been a bit surprised by how much it rains here - I had been living in Richmond, far inland and about 100 miles from here. And it rains a lot there. In heavy or protracted rains the fill soil here drains very slowly.
I am not concerned for our safely, but many people should be concerned for theirs. Here there will be many, many downed tree limbs to deal with, but some folks will not be so lucky.
