  1. The silly Big Bang Theory (which I have parodied as the Big Bean Theory) depends upon absurdities such as Dark Matter. And it predictably looks as if they won't find any. So we are left with (as I always suspected) a limitless Universe with no beginning and no end. Which gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.

I'll misquote the late Terence McKenna and say that thinking we'd be able to discern radio frequency signals from a remote civilization is no different from expecting them to recommend a good Italian restaurant to us. LIFE WANTS TO BE. Therefore, it exists all over the fucking place. And yeah, it's arrogant to assume they'd have more than a passing interest in us.
