  1. Styx. . . I saw a gopher snake in NM, out to get warm on a freshly-asphalted ramp to a shopping center in Taos who did a DEAD PERFECT imitation of a sidewinder, which are unknown in northern NM. He had ME convinced he was so good. And I wanted a gopher snake to take home as a pet. But this one so perfectly mimicked to reverse coil of a sidewinder I was afraid to pick him up. And I knew in my heart he couldn't hurt me!
