  1. Styx: in NM the north is blue and the south is red. The practical result is the state leans left because there is more population in the north, mainly due to Albuquerque and Santa Fe being in the north. However, there is a pro-gun bent even in the blue north, as many Democrats live in rural areas and understand the importance of gun ownership!
