  2. I would tend to agree. It seems possible, at least, that the chunk of antimatter encountered enough matter on the way into the atmosphere that it didn't make it to the surface, and a mid-air event took place. I'm not even convinced of this, but something very significant occurred and I'm not sure all the facts point to a comet. Wouldn't this comet have been visible all over Earth for some time before the explosion happened? To me this is the major weakness of the comet thesis.

  3. It took several years to investigate because the site was so remote. And it took some time to plan an investigation and get a team there.

  4. I can't tell if you're kidding or not. The event took place in 1908, almost a decade before the Russian Revolution. And no one was known to be killed - no one lived within hundreds of miles of there.
