I think St. Bernards are much more prone to the sort of stuff Styx describes than Rottweilers. Full disclosure: I've never owned either breed. I took over ownership of an Australian Shepherd that was an older dog, and it was a huge mistake. I could not handle him. He DID walk me; their front legs are VERY powerful. He also had a habit over bolting out of the house when someone opened the door, and he would seek out any dog he could find and attack the shit out of them. His behavior was very troubling and I became very afraid of what he might eventually progress into.
