  1. I "lost" a very close friend of well over 50 years because I called him out over his statement along the lines of "they've already won; there's nothing we can do". I said, "That's working very well for you, isn't it? You think it absolves you of ever having to take a stand against it!" It saddens me immensely, but I'd do it again if the moment ever arose.
