  12. After I apply the green paste (titanium oxide, I think it is) to my strop, I finish with a 2 micron diamond paste I bought on Amazon. Made in Siberia, I think - it's all in Cyrillic. Then I take my grandson's blow dryer and turn the heat all the way up, and run the hot air at close range (like 2-3 inches) all over the two pastes on the strop. This melts the surface of the compounds and the two pastes become intermixed and at an even thickness. There's really no more to it than that.
