If a person refuses to take medical treatment that will save their life, does a government at any level have the right to force that treatment on them? Is that prolife?

@johndavidwolf4239 ahh, so you agree a women should have the right to choose what is best for her family and body?
6
@travisjohnson7065 should the government have the power to force any medical procedure onto any person?
3
@johndavidwolf4239 no, I'm talking about every possible situation. It's binary, either pro life in every situation or not.
2
@travisjohnson7065 see, again, you can't admit you would be forcing the 11 year old to have a procedure. It wasn't natural the 11 year was gangraped. Why can't you just admit you want a government to force labor onto a person.
2
@travisjohnson7065 it's a different branch of the same tree. But please answer the question. Should the government force any medical procedure onto any person.
1
@travisjohnson7065 let's say a 11 year old is gangraped, should a government have the power to force the girl to go through pregnancy if she got pregnant from the gangrape? Labor is a medical procedure.
1
@travisjohnson7065 see, I see your typing words and such. But answer the question, should a government have the power to force that 11 year old to have a medical procedure done?
1
@travisjohnson7065 I get this isn't a easy scenario to talk about, but it does happy. If a government shouldn't force the 11 year old to have a medical procedure. That means the 11 year has the right to work with her parents to decide what is best for her. If they chose to not continue with the procedure, they should have that right. Either the government has the right to force the procedure or the government stays out of it like they do all other procedures. Can you ever understand what it would feel like to have to tell the girl she has to do this while having no thought about her well being and how she hasn't even gotten over being gangraped.
1
@travisjohnson7065 when you say people just can't anything they want, who is the authority that is stopping them?
1
@subg8858 wait, see the pretzel you're in? You agree a government shouldn't force a procedure onto a person but can't say that by banning abortion is forcing a procedure onto a person by labor. Why can't you just admit by saying "while I do not agree a government should force medical procedures, I think labor should be forced".
1
@travisjohnson7065 see the pretzel you're in? What authority are you referring too that should stop abortion and force the procedure of labor onto a person?
1
@travisjohnson7065 alright, 11 year parents and her decide that the trauma from the rape and trauma from labor is too much for the 11 year old. They want to an abortion. Should the government step in and say no, no abortion under any circumstances, meaning the government is forcing the 11 year old to have a medical procedure done.
1
@travisjohnson7065 like I have said many times before, you want to government to force a medical procedure onto a person. Unclear why that was so hard for you. But can you now understand why so many people are upset, people have lost the freedom to make decisions for their own body in certain places.
1
@travisjohnson7065 You started off this topic with saying you agree the government should not force a medical procedure onto a person. I'm glad you're now being honest and can admit that it's not your true stance. You do want the government to force a procedure onto a person in at least one example. Your navigation on this topic is silly you have no nuance. 11 year goes through a gangrape and you only can say labor is natural so have to let it happen. You seem to not care about the rape being unnatural and no empathy for the extremely young girl. If you can look at yourself in the mirror and be happy with that decision, you sir have either an issue with control or you're trying to right a wrong that has happened to you.
1
@travisjohnson7065 it's possible to have an abortion right? Meaning there's procedures for it? Yoy don't agree with it, but it's possible rightm
1
@travisjohnson7065 point is, there are 2 options, abortion or labor. If you ban abortion, you're forcing a medical procedure onto a person.
1
@travisjohnson7065 no, only 2 options when you get pregnant. There are many options to not bet pregnant. You might not like it but both abortion and labor are procedures. Again, why can't you just say it. You want the government to force a medical procedure of labor when someone gets pregnant.
1
@travisjohnson7065 You are almost there, just admit it. You want the government to force a medical procedure onto a person.
1
@evolutionistheflyingspaghe2702 when does government control over your medical procedures begin?
1
@evolutionistheflyingspaghe2702 at birth is when government should force medical procedures onto a person?
1
@evolutionistheflyingspaghe2702 can you clarify, are you saying you want the government to force medical procedures onto a person?
1
@Sup3rB4dVideos do you support a government that can force a medical procedure onto a person?
