@liasunshine7470 well my uncle died from it and I also served for 6 years. Not trying to trigger anyone but I think this is another example of blaming the government for not getting vaccinated really makes no sense. I'm grateful he is better but also the story can be its a good idea to get vaccinated and if not sure talk to your doctor and not listen to podcasts or talk shows for medical advice.

Was he vaccinated? The Dr here explained how people who are vaccinated are 40% less likely to the new variant and if they do get it they will not get as sick. I'm glad he mentioned that and I hope you all get vaccinated.

@lola the hospitalizations and deaths contributed to people who are not vaccinated are pretty hard to overlook. Also the medication seems to help only after you get sick. Vaccine helps you not get the virus and if you do it will drastically less severe

@SparklesNJazz any disease that can be transmitted like this runs the risk of people passing it around and not being able to stop future mutations. I totally understand someone choice, that has to be balanced with not having massive spread. This affects people in so many different ways and let's not remember we are still over 1k deaths a day. Again the medicine now generally only helps once someone has the virus. With over 800,000 dead and thousands dying each day, this shouldn't be political but for some reason it is. Small pox, polio, measles, etc vaccines aren't political and those vaccines are saved millions of lives throughout the world.

@johnsmith-ce2tq yesh I think misunderstanding the 60% part. But so could I to be fair. To me he is saying if your vaccinated you will be be vastly more protected.

@johnsmith-ce2tq well that is why scientists and doctors do not make decisions on only what happens to John Smith. If John Smith doesn't get cancer we can throw out all the treatments for it. Lots of hospitals at max capacity, so I guess they're all lying. Also governor of Texas asking federal government for help, he must have bought into the lie.

@Rob__James not scared just trying to see the point. If we only take medicine that are 100% effective with no side effects that would be a very small world. To me looks like you're trolling and trying to find something to make your opinion more concrete while ignoring everything else.
