Simple fix, get money out of politics. Citizens United case the Supreme Court ruled on was a joke. America isn't divided on abortion, gay marriage, LGBT, Medicare, Social Security, tax breaks for middle class. The only part of America that is against all that is religious donors and corporate donors. Also, news organizations need to report in news and not worry about profits so much.
