I have tried to understand what libertarian means. It appears that each person who says they are libertarian have a different view of what libertarian means. What is a libertarian government look like?
10
How would property deeds be issued in a libertarian area? Who adjudicates property disputes? Are there any certain rules for building a hospital or school?
3
Who issues property deeds your libertarian ideal area?
2
@Shiroi How does someone get the position in the private justice system to issue property deeds and adjudicate disputes?
2
@Shiroi this is objectivism, isn't it?
2
@Shiroi It sounds like in the private system you want a person or corporation could simply buy the business that makes decisions and put in people who would rule in their favor.
2
@blueberrymcphuckerson9821 I see you deleted the Dave Smith Sam Seder debate post. Did you watch that debate?
2
@blueberrymcphuckerson9821 wait, so now you're saying the 2A protects people from corporations? Wouldn't the private security do that?
2
@jacksonsparrow8865 Should the federal government have the power to end slavery?
2
@Jackson Sparrow That's interesting. There are two other libertarians in this section that day 50% of libertarians haven't made up their mind, but you say libertarians don't think it's an issue.
2
@FAILG0AT That is not accurate for libertarians in my opinion. Libertarians appear to say their personal freedom and personal property are paramount, no exceptions.
2
@Shiroi That's doesn't address the question. How does someone get into that position?
1
@shiroi5672 How does abortion fit into your views?
1
@Shiroi In these small communities, wouldn't private companies have conflicts of interest when issuing deeds and ruling on property disputes? What if two different private companies rule differently on a property dispute? Who adjudicates the different rulings?
1
@shiroi5672 So it's possible, libertarians are okay with a government forcing a medical procedure onto a person?
1
@shiroi5672 Okay, when you said abortion is abstract with no real answer, I was incorrect thinking that libertarians didn't have an opinion.
1
@Shiroi So it's possible in these communities a medical procedure could be forced into people if the community wants it.
1
@Shiroi Wait, so parties can opt of contracts whenever they want? What is the use of contracts? The vikings also raped and stole, not a good idea right?
1
@shiroi5672 who enforces the contracts to begin with? Who can say if the contract was voided incorrectly?
1
@Shiroi How you lay out Libertarianism, it sounds horrible. There is no accountability and no enforcement unless you can for it.
1
@Blueberry McPhuckerson Not for sure, but it's deleted.
1
@Blueberry McPhuckerson I don't understand your strawman pivot. You are now aware they debated. Also, Seder has debated major Libertarian figures, did you not know that?
1
@blueberrymcphuckerson9821 How is abortion viewed within Libertarian circles?
1
@blueberrymcphuckerson9821 The Kyle Rittenhouse point was a strawman. To clarify, 50% of libertarians want a government to be involved with a medical procedure? That doesn't make sense.
1
@blueberrymcphuckerson9821 Watch the Seder Walter Block debate.
1
@TheJeremyKentBGross the late term abortion part, how many happen per year?
1
@Blueberry McPhuckerson You can have your own opinion, you're still wrong.
1
@Blueberry McPhuckerson That's not what I was referring to. Also, you see how Dave was slightly struggling against Seder?
1
@blueberrymcphuckerson9821 Ahh, red herring, that work for you?
1
@mongoosegang How do Libertarians view abortion?
