@willmont8258 corporations are people. Where in the constitution does it say corporations?
1
@willmont8258 Sorry, that didn't answer the question. Where in the constitution does it say corporations?
1
@willmont8258 Thanks for admitting the constitution doesn't say corporations. Also, does the constitution say anything about freedom for press? Doesn't the NY times already have a right based in the constitution?
1
@willmont8258 Thanks, you didn't address the previous question?
1
@willmont8258 No. I'm asking why the New York times needs any additional first amendment protection when the constitution already states they have First Amendment rights.
1
@willmont8258 Your not addressing the question and trying to change topic.
1
@willmont8258 First they are already protected, why do corporations need to be counted as a person? Also, are you sure the case wasn't about political donations?
1
@willmont8258 I think you need to go back and read the opinion. The case was about donations. Also, is there free speech in nature?
1
@willmont8258 what is an expenditure?
1
@willmont8258 No, that isn't correct. What is an expenditure?
1
@willmont8258 No, sorry. You don't understand the case. You want it to be simply about corporations being people but it's not. Also, are there corporations in nature?
1
@willmont8258 No, expenditure meand something since it was cited in case. It amazes me how you define corporations as people when that isn't in the text of the constitution. Your logic only deals with fitting your narrative vs reality. The case was truly about unlimited campaign donations, meaning corporations do not have to disclose donations and candidates can have super PACs. Free speech doesn't equate to super pacs.
