  2.  @pete1288  doesn't the gold stand have huge swings in consumer good prices, and gold standard can't stop or slow down inflation?

  3.  @williemo44  You can't make gold out of thin air, gold standard was extremely volatile and forgien countries could manipulate the rates and cause more uncertainty I think. But what do I know, youtube comment economists probably shouldn't make any policies.
