@jordanslingluff287 the top level executives got the bonuses, not average worker. Always want to cut workers but never top level salary and bonuses. Stock buy backs are outrageous.

@jordanslingluff287 I guess you forgot about the 40 years of wages not increasing but top level executives increased at an astronomical level.

And at the same time payout record bonuses and stock buy backs.

@jordanslingluff287 you talking about evidence of stock buybacks?
1
@jordanslingluff287 lots of words, but what you don't say is stock buybacks in order to bump up stock price has been the issue for a while. I mean if even Trump is agaisnt the practice, they're shady at best. Why not use that money to invest vs artificial stock price.

@jordanslingluff287 Stock buybacks are back. Companies in the S&P 500 repurchased $234.5 billion in shares during the third quarter, topping the previous record of $223 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018, according to preliminary data from S&P Dow Jones Indices. The wave of share repurchases has helped propel U.S. stock indexes to dozens of records in 2021. The S&P 500 is up 25% this year, notching 67 record closes. From the WSJ, Dec 2021

@jordanslingluff287 Stocks have fallen quite a bit in 2022. If you are wondering where the market bottom is, JPMorgan has some good news. The bank sees companies continuing to buy back their shares, which could help stocks establish a bottom. “In the latest sell-off, JPM estimates 3-4x higher buyback executions than trend, which implies the corporate put remains active,” JPMorgan’s Marko Kolanovic writes earlier this year. Another example from article today.

@jordanslingluff287 I asked if you wanted evidence of stock buy backs happening. Also you didn't seem to address my response stating wages hadn't increased for 40 years while executives skyrocketed. You seem to think higher wages last few years is hurting companies bit fail to address stock buybacks and high executive bonuses and incentives.
1
@jordanslingluff287 you also said stock buybacks are a problem, why don't you answer your own question. Why do you think they're a problem? Sorry your talking points have been crushed.
1
@jordanslingluff287 so stock buybacks are a problem but you want evidence to show another problem with them.
