So the US is worlds leader in oil production and this administration is producing more oil than previous administration. I thought if we produce more the price will go down, that hasn't happened. Also, why are oil companies not drilling more?

@jordanslingluff287 Ahh, so private companies can drill more but choose not to?
1
@jordanslingluff287 when you said hard to drill more, that is a choice made by private oil compaines, right? They can drill more but do not.
1
@jordanslingluff287 So why do oil and gas companies say they need more leases approved to drill if they really can't produce much more?
1
@slowmotionforme8715 Yeah, I always hear Joe talk about how oil companies need more help by either less regulation or more leases, but at the same time not address those same companies do not drill more when they could.
1
@jordanslingluff287 There hasn't been a new refinery in decades because the private companies choose not to. How much more can be refined now?
1
@jordanslingluff287 To be fair, that doesn't appear to be accurate. There appears to be room for an increase in refinery capacity. Also there is room for production increase as well.
1
@jordanslingluff287 I'm confused. Are you saying there is no room for an increase in production and refinery capacity?
1
@Atlassian. To clarify, the issue isn't regulation? It's not having enough worker's?
