Little late for self regulating, Jan 6th exposed the need for at least some regulating. I have clean drinking water so there are benefits for regulations.

@ptricky15 safe water act. Discovery of contamination from organic chemicals in public water systems and the lack of enforceable, national standards persuaded Congress to take action. Sounds like some good regulation to me, glad I have clean drinking water. I bet you would love to live in certain parts of the world with no drinking water regulations because you want the ability to freely chose to drink water that you can't prove is safe.

@CaptainTodger69 we give a lot of rope to what people say and how they saw it, we have free speech. But Jan 6th exposed how regulations are needed to combat extreme rhetoric that led to storming of capital based on lies. Meaning it took a insurrection to show people it has gone to far. You agree that social media helped the extreme right think the election was stolen?

@CaptainTodger69 we tried to stop cash going into politics. The right went all the way to the Supreme Court, the right said money is free speech, it was the citizens united cash. Mitch Mcconnell was behind that. So stopping someone from spreading lies is not censorship in your opinion?

@CaptainTodger69 this is why the right is so funny. Do not want politicians to lie but love politicians who do lie. Want money out of politics but fail to understand their party wants money in politics. The right literally campaigns on misinformation. The right doesn't like regulations but plumbers and electricians agree building codes are needed. This has made my Friday fun but playtime is over now. Hypocrisy is pretty sweet here.

@CaptainTodger69 what did I get called out for. I'm not a republican or conservative since that does exist anymore. I believe in small government and spending within our means. But I also support people have the right to marry who they chose. That government should make no laws based on religion. Believing that no one religion is above all else. Not Believing the poor are lazy and beneath everyone else. I can admit what I believe, I in good conscience wouldn't/could/haven't voted for Donald. Anyone who defects away from saying insurrection is either a Trumpsist or Republican, which one are you.

@CaptainTodger69 40 years ago I would be labeled as a moderate conservative but today I would be labeled as a liberal. I'm secure in my believes, the right thinks the only way someone can be a republican is they first have to hate liberals. Hate gays, deny science and every level. Hate government at every level. Believe conspiracies, and above all else, Believe they are never wrong on only their ideas as correct. There is no working with Republicans now unfortunately. I wish the party of 40 years ago would come back but I do not think they will.

@CaptainTodger69 well gallows were there, cops died, cops injured, people with zip ties. You can try and make this subjective but trespassing is one thing, this was way more than that. If that happened in any other country, you would say insurrection but can't now because of some weird reason. This happened here becuase of election lies. Machines were connected to internet and votes switched, lie. China was involved, lie. Venezuela was involved, lie. Votes switched, lie. Mail in vote fraud that changed election, lie. People who are dead voted that changed election, lie.

@ptricky15 so you want the freedom to make a decision on what safe water is and leave it up to businesses to do it becuase businesses will always do the right thing. Businesses will always do the right thing becuase it's in the best interest for the business. Regulations are never helpful right? What about medical linceses, should that be left up to private businesses?

@ptricky15 yeah that wasn't the question. Remember, Government and businesses are run by people. Would you trust Perdue Pharmaceutical more than regulators regarding oxytocin? How about financial crisis? Many many areas that need regulations. If not, there are some condos in Florida you can stay in.
