  1. 99.9% of the time, a 10,000 mile oil change is a very bad idea. The 0.1% allows them to advertise the 10,000 mile interval.

  2. I drive very little, change once a year, 2 or 3 thousand. Does not burn any oil. Hyundai Accent. I live in SE, cold weather is not a problem. I can leave it in driveway while it is below freezing. Also allows me to avoid salt.
