@diannnamutant3019 USA is afraid of paying taxes or printing more money. Interest rate is near zero and the financial market is full of bubbles. All it take is one major financial crisis again and that's over for the superpower. This is most empires in the past collapsed: financial crisis.

@dantheslayer1023 It is all about logistics, Taliban has local support and we don't. We try to prop up a government with corruption and that didn't work too well. The local knows. Just isolate Taliban and let their next generation get tired of how fast Taliban gets corrupted and how they get tired of unemployment and poverty, then they would join the world eventually like how Vietnam and China left Communism.

Surprised? Come on now you can only take over this fast if your puppet government is not popular and infiltrated for a long time. You can bet a lot of their sympathizers had family member killed and that's why they will fight you till they die.
