Comments by "Maggie Jetson" (@maggiejetson7904) on "Why men MAKE MORE than women: understanding the gender pay gap" video.
This is the conclusion I've come to (I'm a man and just use a joke account name): Men take more risk in the hunter gatherer society, and work harder in the agricultural society, while women stay as house keepers raising children. This make sense as they are attracted to each other in the appropriate role in their time. Today our society changed so fast we have the choice to be equal, and many do take up that choice. When your choice remain as "men are to earn and take risk while women are to raise the family", you will have a gender pay gap or other gap. You can't pick a cushy job to raise a family and expect to make the same as the single earner who focus on career and money to provide the family. Most reasonable women understand this, except the loafer feminists who just want a lazy girl job making the same as those working more or harder. This is a disgrace to those real hard working women who made it to the top. I have worked with these hard working women leaders and I have a lot of respect for them. They outearn their men counterpart and got their well deserved position. They are never there to complain about the gender pay gap like those loafer feminists. What we did in "equality" is just wrong if you think the solution to pay gap is to make the job easier (more family time less over time more benefit). What we should do is to split different roles that demand different efforts and pay accordingly, and let people apply for those positions based on the effort they want to put in. Men can apply for cushy jobs for low pay and women can apply for stressful job and keep a house husband, and pay based on positions and the results. Problem solved.
