  1. They had a wrong business model to begin with. In order to do the amount of R&D to scale they need some industrial or commoner market stuff, and that means they need some sort of satellite launch or military contracts. The way Elon use Starlinks to subsidize the launch is brilliant, as they sort of open new market for what helps (rural broadband, and fast network for the finance industry).
