When I was working with OEM in Taiwan they told us that if the volume is low and cost is high, they will do manual run instead of automation to 1) not waste R&D on assembly line or waste capacity and 2) if something wasn't right human will stop and ask instead of keep going and crush a bunch of products. So I'm pretty sure these high priced RTX 3080 will be hand assembled whenever there's screws unless they are lower priced (i.e. less than $1k a card) to reduce risk of a big mess up.
