  1. Seagate drives were good until they merged with Maxtor and then shutdown both companies California operation, and combine both companies' Colorado operation into the new Seagate. Then all heck break loose and their drive reliability went down the toilet. I had 2 120GB Seagate 7200.7 and it is still running well since, 2003!
