To be "fair" if there's such a thing, a small run of product from a doomed project will likely have the manufacturer going out of business and you cannot get replacement part as well. At least for the Spark you can still swap the parts with another gasoline Spark and keep on driving (or sell it to a junkyard so they can use it to repair another Spark as long as it is not the battery).
