  1. Insurance by nature is a gamble. You can average out the risk but never cover national crisis like war, or Spanish Flu. So in the end you have a desperate business (insurance company and their co insurers), trying to avoid losing their shirts. Yeah that goes well. Instead of having insurance to cover the failure, we as human civilization should spend more effort PREVENTING crisis so we don't have to deal with collapses.
