  1. I think DiDi's problem is more about who the founder was messing with in China (i.e. align with Xi Jingping's rival or refuse Xi Jingping's investment). It is also possible that the problem was they don't want DiDi to grow too big because it, like Uber, is really a money losing business and it is better to right size it before it expand and crash internationally.
