  1. Your priority is indeed correct. I eat rice all the time and I prefer the plain old one you have. It does come with a steamer though. The rice isn't as fluffy as the pressurized one you have but I can add things to it mid way to steam cook them better (i.e. like meat jerky or sausages). The double boiler rice cooker is still in use in Taiwan as the main kind. They use them as steamer and meat stewer and it is very popular because of this.
