So why is India forming Quad with US, Should have asked Russia to help against China.

@thethreespikes9737 It is called, bad diplomacy. India does not have its interest intact. US is going to now re-align with Pakistan and India will be left high and dry against China.

@thethreespikes9737 No India needs US more than US needs India. China is not US's neighbour, but India's neighbour. US's biggest threat is Russia and not China. China will not venture any action on US as they are dependent on selling to US and European markets unlike Russia. China did not vote against US and has reduced supplies to Russia. China is not dependent on Russia, but Russia is, If China attacks India Russia will be a mute spectator. India is not out of China's reach and China has far superior military power and not dependent on other countries for arms, unlike India.

@thethreespikes9737 US economy had one of the highest growth in 2021. China is not like Russia, they manufacture and sell most of their goods to US and Europe. There is nothing called an economic threat. There is only military threat. US is not dependent on China, but China is dependent on its consumers in US and Europe. Nobody cares if an iphone is manufactured in Malaysia instead of China or a Tesla is manufactured in Germany instead of China. But China cares. India is not the only alternate to China, but one of the alternates. Quad group is not just India and US alone. US is not going to loose its influence soon. There are many countries in Asia, who will be willing to be closely aligned to US than Russia. US does not need India, but India needs US to counter China and even to counter Pakistan. 40% of Indian military HW comes from US Allies France, Israel etc. 90% of India's oil is controlled by US, Saudi, Qatar etc. India is not Booming and its GDP growth is just 5.4%. Considering the population of the country, India is far behind China in becoming an economic super power.
