  1. While China is spending money on scienece and scientific research, India wants to live in the past. A nation based on science is far better than a nation based on living on past glory.

  2.  @Ranjan-cq9lr  You do not need spirituality to guide science. Science can stand on its own. Do not try and ride on top of science. The so called spirituality has caused more divisions and challenges to human existence.

  3.  @deepika2644  Yoga is just a copy of gymnastics. The way of living that has created caste and kept millions in abject poverty is also derived from spirituality. Traditions are traditions and has nothing to do with science. Traditions are not static and keeps changing with every generation, else we would all still be living in caves in Africa hunting and gathering.

India is secular due to its forefathers vision. However India is on its way to becoming an intolerant nations like Pakistan under the current govt. Pakistan was also formed as a secular country, but changed to a muslim country by zia ul haq. Podcasts do not provide accurate information.

  16. @Arkangel Flights None of these are based on science. This is the same as Zakir Naik claiming Quran is based on science. Tell me the first book published on Yoga? If you can prove that Yoga has not copied from gymnastics, Dr Viswanathan has offered you 2 lacs for it. Big words like transcedental, quantum etc does not make yoga a science. Millions of Indians do Yoga as they have no logic. Millions of people in the west do not do Yoga and has higher life expectancy and quality of life than Indians.

The government believes in religion and the so called past greatness of Islam, just as the Indian government beleieves in the past greatness of hindu culture. Both countries are not much different for people of west who believe in science than religion.

India kills people for eating Beef. None of the religions including Islam is great and creates hatred and patriarchy. No religion is above this. I do not care about Bangladesh also and only worried about India, which is created as a secular country but now trying to become like pakistan.
