India is the only major country where emissions have increased over past few years. All other countries including China has decreased the emissions.

@elavarasan5631 Global warming is not based on per capita emissions, but based on total emissions. It is not the fault of western countries, that India allowed its population to grow unhindered. Western countries used fossil fuels as there were no alternative sources of fuel at that time. Now there are alternatives avaiable and should go for alternatives. West used steam power for many generations previously is no excuse to go for steam engines now in India.

@pavankumar270489 China is also a developing country and has reduced emissions. There were no alternative power sources available earlier than fossil fuels and countries had to use fossil fuels. Now there are alternatives available, why is India and China shying away from them. Global warming is going to affect countries with higher population density than the developed countries. So it is more in India's interest.

@him6683 Stop thinking that India can go on polluting the world. China and US have reduced there emissions over the last few years while it has increased in India. India is going to be more affected by Climate change than US or China. If the transition takes time, don't lecture others who has transitioned already and is stopping using coal. Nobody cares whether you have the largest solar or windfarm. We only care about your emisssions. Just see what happened in Delhi.

@him6683 US and China has reduced its emissions while India has increased. Paris agreement was about reducing emissions and not increasing it. India emissions is still higher than all the other countries than China and US. So stop thinking that you have achieved anything.
