@parsecsprinter904 Where did you get this Information that Sinovac phase 3 trial was done only in China? The Phase 3 trial for Sinovac was done in Turkey, Brazil, Hongkong, Philippines and Indonesia. Sinovac and Covaxin uses the same Technology inactivated virus. Phase 3 for Covaxin was conducted much before the delta variant came into picture. BTW India did not have sequencing capability at that time. A vaccine which has delayed publishing phase 3 trial data by 8 months and has been tested only in its country of origin where a bias is possible is less reliable, the reason which no other country has ordered it. Covaxin Phase 3 trial data is not peer reviewed and publicly available. Any efficacy figures published will need validation and hence not valid. India can use Covaxin as much as possible but cannot insist other countries should use it or is better than any other vaccine without publishing the data. Zycov-D is not yet approved and you may have taken it as part of the trials and normally the subject is not supposed to know if it was real or placebo vaccine and I suspect this is how vaccine trials are conducted in India. Indian population is not diverse. Do your research before blindly hating Sinovac as it is from China and blindly supporting Covaxin as it is from India. BTW China is far ahead of India in Technology, Science and manufacturing and only lags in democracy. If India can produce a vaccine, why not Chinese.

Covaxin is not proven. Just like chinese vaccine, uses the same technology.

@parsecsprinter904 Covaxin has not yet provided data. Sinovac provided the data way back. Covaxin provided the data to even govt of India only end of last month. All vaccines takes atleast 2 months for approval after data is Submitted. Why was Covaxin hiding data despite the Phase 3 trial data being over 8 months back. Why has Covaxin done trials only in India compared to all other vaccines, which has done in multiple countries?

@parsecsprinter904 You saying Sinovac does not work does not make it not work. Need to provide data and not anecdotes. Whatever diversity you claim in India is not as diverse as China+ Turkey+Brazil+Philippines. Covaxin announced the completion of Phase 3 trial on 3rd march much before the delta variant was identified. It was actually conducted between Nov 2020 and Feb 2021 when the cases were at the lowest in India Surprised how you know that you got Zycov-D when it is under trial and know that you have received it. All vaccines work against variants with reduced efficacy. There is no data available for What you provide is anecdotal evidence and not based on data. 56 countries have approved Sinovac and do you think that they did not do any due diligence. I am not saying Covaxin is not effective, but you do not have any evidence to say Sinovac is not effective or less effective.
