  2.  @kter29  When you have a large population, your GDP will increase. A two member family with high income will have less total income than one family with 25 members each having low salaries. Let Wion focus on Indian issues, which are now lagging behind its neighbours. Homelessness and Poverty becomes an issue when it is main stream and not an exception. Child mortality in India was 38 in 1000 in 2013 and still 28 in 1000 with the highest in Gujarat.

However it seems there has been a wave of insecurity creeping across the country that the people want to compare everything with west to prove India is the best. Have seen Wion comparing even Covid deaths, which is like saying UP has less crime rates than Gujarat.

  12.  @feministba  Nobody is portraying India as a dangerous or backward country. It is the insecurity that cannot digest facts like strikes in India being reported on a foreign newspaper. A strike in India is not going to damage India's image in anyway but will enhance its reputation as a democratic country. It is the blind Modi supporters who think that India is Modi and criticism of Modi is Criticism of India. India as a country is great with great people.

  26.  @rahulroy2861  Wion is hell bent on comparing with other countries and media to show upmanship. Comparing Covid deaths to prove India has handled Covid better than the west is an absolute lie. If that was the case, Afghanistan and Pakistan has done better than India and should be compared with India being neighbours. What is wrong in NYT reporting of a General strike in India that has been widely reported in Indian media? UP and Gujarat crime rates, the difference is in reporting rates, just like Covid deaths. I have not seen any media in the west comparing the Military strength of any country. Wion will happily report a flood on an underground passage in London, while happily ignoring floods that caused multiple deaths in Maharashtra. It is clear what this channel is meant for. Wion is not a media for India as it hardly shows any news on India. All our media shows our national news first and if any body is interested can go to international section and read what is happening in other countries. That is not the same with Wion.

  29.  @shru911  US did not have floating dead bodies or people dying on the streets due to lack of oxygen. Not even in Africa. Also US does not have the best health care system. India had the highest deaths from Covid in the world and so would be reported world wide.

Percapita income of srilanka is 3 times that of India even now and have access to more food and entertainment than an average Indian. Free ration means, people are hungry and not otherway. UP and TN has the highest ISIS recruits as per GOI. Nobody from Kerala has joined ISIS. They all joined when they were abroad unlike in UP. It is the failure of GOI to allow them to go abroad.

The highest ISIS are from TN and U.P as per GOI bulletin on GOI website. It is the responsibility of RAW to identify those who are joining ISIS. That is what intelligence department in all countries do. When you have a Joker like Ajit Doval heading intelligence, this is bound to happen. Modi has special love for Communist Putin over democratic west and visited China 7 times which none of the communist leaders did.
