@theonly6359 If India was not coerced, does it feel that an attack on a sovereign democracy by a dictator are all fine. Vast Majority of countries including those who are constitutionally neutral like Austria, Switzerland and Finalnd (Non NATO members) also voted against Russia. Nobody is asking India to stop buying oil from Russia, which is only 1-2% of Indian Oil import. What the world is asking is the why worlds largest democracy is voting against a democracy and siding with a dictator. Will India accept the same treatment, if China attacks India?

@theonly6359 India gets only 1% of oil from Russia and 8% of oil from US. Why did India stop buying from Iran and Venezuela? Russia is a truer friend of China. Who helped India in 1962 war against China?

@theonly6359 A bigger chunk of oil for Germany and Turkey comes from Russia. They still voted against Russia. Should have Spine. Putin trusts Erdogan more than Modi for peace talks despite Turkey voting against Russia and being a NATO member.

@theonly6359 Did Putin tell you he trusts India more? There are many non Nato memebers who have sanctioned Russia and Erdogan supplied drones to Ukraine too. Diplomacy is not black and white, but comes in many shades of grey. India did not take a pricipled stand as it does not have the confidence to say, what is wrong and what is right. Everybody can assume a lot by India's behaviour also. While turkey has not imposed any sanctions. they have not sucked up to Russia and voted against Russia.

@theonly6359 Germany is still importing gas from Russia and so is many European countries. The Vote in UN is about principles. There is no bullying, but support for a democratic country against a dictatorship. I don't have a problem with India buying oil from Russia, but has been co-erced by Russia to abstain in the vote in UNSC. Nobody has sanctioned of Russia completely as it is not practical.

@ashishtiwari1912 Your country has no principles and are scared of Russia. Period. Nobody hates Russians, but we condemn Russian attack on Ukraine. India does not have the Spine to Condemn that. Tukey condemned it, but Putin still have more belief in turkey to Negotiate a peace treaty than India. Abstaining from the vote is not non alignement, but support for Russia.
