Why don't you consider accurate reporting,more number of older people, more percentage of people doing international travel when you compare with west. India should compare with Pakistan, Bangla, China, Srilanka, Nepal etc and India has the highest death rates among all these group.

Most countries in the west (even those who do not manufacture vaccines) have vaccinated over 75% population of 12 years old plus with two vaccines.
