  3.  @bharathraman2098  Data needs to be countered with data. If you have better data on excess deaths please provide it and we will see Garbage data collection. World renowned Academics do not work on Garbage and are well recognised in their field for a reason.

  4.  @bharathraman2098  Mortality rate is not based on the number of positive test cases, but overall population. Kerala with only 3.4 crores population has 70,000 deaths while UP with 20 crores has only 29,000. We all know the disparity of health Infrastructure between Kerala and UP. Kerala is not an ageing population. What is the agenda for WHO who has pointed out excess deaths not only in India, but also in US, UK and many other countries. If it was only WHO, you can cast suspicion, but there are 4 independent studies all of which puts the same range. Who was the Chair of World Health Organization's Executive Board when Covid broke out? Was he funded by China? If you are not happy with Kerala compare Maharshtra and Gujarat. The CRS survey which has been done till 2019 also had a column on the number of actual registrations which the government has dropped from the survey for 2020 clearly shows the agenda. If the government is sure that the number of deaths stand at half a million, why were they forced to entertain the applications for compensation for much higher numbers. It has become a habit of this government to rubbish any data that shows the government in a bad light, be it for Covid deaths, Hunger Index, Happiness Index, Religious freedom Index and many more. The same government will accept models from IMF which shows the insecurity of this government. US, UK and Germany are the biggest funders of WHO and not China. China's contribution is less than that of Norway. WHO and other Academic institutions go by data, whereas this govt goes by propoganda.

  8.  @julianechangme169  Yes. The death rates, when the chaotic situation was not present are much higher as per the govt records than when the chaotic situation prevailed. Nobody will be able to justify that the death rates were lower when the chaotis situation of second wave hit.

Kerala with the best health system had higher mortality rate than UP with limited health Infrastructure. Data for excess deaths for 2021 are not available. Even during Normal times, only 30% of deaths in India are Registered as per the previous government death surveys. Gujarat had much more claims than the mortality rate published by govt. The panel who creates the models are experts in te field and not illiterate people.

  18.  @kkartha  The government has not published excess mortality rates for 2021. Just look at the Covid mortality rates, when the cases were lower and extrapolate it. Nobody sensible will believe that anybody could achieve lower mortality rates when the incidence of Covid was high compared to when it was lower.

  20. Institutions never have credibility. It is the academics who have credibility. And all the credible Academics have arrived at WHO figures.

  21. A government who could not arrange oxygen or mortuaries or hospital beds apparently is more competent than renowned academics who specialise on the subject.

Many Indian journalists have pointed out figures from crematoriums, when the bodies cremated in one crematorium was higher than the total death figures published by the state. You do not need to hide dead bodies, but publish the death data, which the government has not done for 2021.
