@somenerd510 that's completely false, nobody in the US is serving hard time for possession of weed. Anyone who's serving a prison sentence for weed pled down from a more serious charge, possession by itself is a minor crime and typically only gets you time served in county jail at most.

@soulknife20 if it's their third strike, then they're not in prison for possession, they're in prison for possession plus repeat offense. And even in that case, if all of their priors are just for weed, they're probably not serving prison time, it's far more likely they just have an ass load of probation time. If someone is in prison just for possession of weed, then it's not just possession of weed. There are other offenses. Like I said, typically a plea deal from a more serious crime.

@soulknife20 and I guarantee the majority of those arrests were out free within a brief amount of time, many of them in less than 24 hours. Possession is almost always probation time, that's all. And if there aren't any other charges, you can typically have dozens of weed arrests without actually serving prison time.

@lizf1353 Republicans nominated Trump, even though his chances of winning at the time were slim to none. But they stood on principle, and said they were tired of the same career politicians, even if it meant they lost an election. Did democrats nominate Bernie? That's right. You didn't. Because you don't have any principles other than "my team needs to win, no matter what."

@soulknife20 yes. Say what you will about Trump, but you can't claim he's an establishment politician. The establishment hates him, with a burning fire that's lead them to frantically try to prevent him from holding office for 8 years, as though their hair is on fire. You ever wonder why that is? Or are you just so stupid and easily manipulated you blindly believe whatever the media tells you?

@soulknife20 I understand the purpose of probation, and don't disagree with it on principle. It's just become something it never should have been. But that's what leftism does, it manipulates stupid people into destroying their own society. Personally I think weed should be treated more like alcohol, it should be illegal for minors, and there should be certain limitations to where you can have it, how you can buy it, and where you can consume it. But if an adult is just smoking weed and not doing anything else? I don't really care, there shouldn't be any legal penalties for that. There already barely are though if we're being real, if you're at home smoking a J and minding your business, what are the odds of police ramming your door down and raiding your house? Pretty goddamn close to zero. Smoke responsibly and you won't have a problem.

@soulknife20 democrats quite literally ignored election laws in 2020 to favor them over Trump. All Trump did was point it out. Universal mail in voting is not constitutional, nobody passed that as a law, democrats just did it anyway.
