It's amazing how the left complains about wages and also actively encourages people to shirk personal responsibility and demand that things just be given to them. If that's your attitude towards life, it should be no surprise to absolutely anyone if you achieve less.

@michaelrunco5940 I think pretty much everyone will work for Amazon, Google, or some big energy corporation. Maybe that's what the OP means, not sure. But more and more things are going to be delivered to our door, that's already happening. Actually going to buy most goods is going to become obsolete, most of the things we actually "go out" for will just be for leisure, pretty much all essentials will just be delivered. Unless the aliens come and wipe out the internet and enslave the human race. That's a distinct possibility.

Equality has become kind of a catch-all that always has a positive connotation, but for me personally, I value liberty over equality. Equal opportunity of course is a good thing, but equality of outcomes will never happen in a free society, and I'm fine with that, freedom comes with responsibility, and that means you can be responsible and achieve great wealth in life, or you can just dick around and have a good time, but you're probably not going to be rich. Either option or anywhere in between is fine, it's your life, but if you dick around and have a good time, you don't get to complain when you're not as rich as people who work all day every day and bury themselves in their job.

@ThePanMan11 he probably did earlier in his life. Or at the very least made some less than stellar decisions. I'm not saying people should be condemned for life to the lower class because they made mistakes, but you don't get to whine when people who didn't make the same mistakes as you have a more successful life later on.

@ThePanMan11 nobody is saying people aren't born with different advantages, but ultimately your own personal choices have a greater impact than any other factors within your control. Everyone can get a high school education, everyone can avoid jail time, and everyone can wait until they're financially stable to have kids, none of these things are determined by your families income, and those 3 factors have the greatest impact on success later on in life. Someone from a poor family isn't likely to be extremely wealthy, but they can sure as hell improve their situation from where they were born, so their kids can have a better chance, and nobody who was born into a better situation owes you a goddamn thing either, because they're in that situation because their parents made good decisions. One person can start an upward trajectory not only for themselves, but for future generations in their family, but the left doesn't want that, the left wants people to stay poor and angry so they can convince them that big government is the only solution. That's been the leftism grift since the earliest civilizations, and stupid people like you gobble it up because you're not only stupid, you're also selfish and immoral. You're the target.

@toehustle there are no actual barriers other than your own shortcomings. Just because something is hard doesn't mean it's impossible, weak people like you are doing real damage to young people who may not necessarily be as weak as your loser mentality dictates.

@toehustle poverty will never go away, by definition, we live in the most prosperous nation in the history of the world (assuming you're American), even the homeless people here have better amenities than middle class people in some nations. There will always be people with less than others, that's an inevitably of life. And useless people like you would have it a lot worse off in any other society in any other time in human history. Be grateful you live around regular people who are capable of being person stuff, they're the only reason you're even alive.

@toehustle I don't care about inequality if even the poorest people still have a manageable quality of life, that's a pretty damn prosperous nation by any reasonable measure. If I make 50k a year and my neighbor makes 40k, and he moves out and a guy who makes 100k moves in, I'm not more poor because my new neighbor is wealthier than my old neighbor. I'm just as wealthy as I was before. Leftism is rooted in greed and jealousy. That's all you are and all you'll ever be, just a bottom feeder that's jealous of regular people.
